Exciting career development and funding opportunities for mental health staff and researchers

*The third and final round of applications is now closed*

ARC-NT’s Mental Health Research for All programme is excited to announce funded opportunities to get involved in research.

These opportunities are open to anyone working in or with mental health services across the North Thames region, including staff from NHS Trusts, local government, public health, social care or community care organisations, charities and the voluntary sector. We are particularly keen for applications from staff who are currently under-represented in research, including those working in East London and Essex, people from minoritised backgrounds, and those working in areas of mental health and social care with limited opportunities to engage with research

Research internships - for mental health professionals with little or no prior experience in research; six-month, part-time internships for funded time out from your current role to join a research team on an active project.

Career development fellowships - for mental health and care professionals with some research experience or qualifications; six-month to twelve-month, part-time fellowships, to enable to you to develop a proposal for PhD or project funding in any area of mental health research, aside from dementia, which is being separately funded.  Find out more about the career development fellowships in the short video below:

Springboard funding awards - for mental health and care researchers already active in research. These are small grants to help you disseminate the findings of completed research, move research to the next stage or develop a new research idea in the field of mental health research, aside from dementia. Springboard funding will be available in 2 streams: Emerging and Established Researchers. We are offering peer review of draft applications for Emerging Researchers in the third round.
