EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

In her role within the NIHR ARC North Thames Research Partnership Team Elizabeth is involved in all stages of the research process from design, dissemination, and implementation of public health studies. Elizabeth regularly collaborates with public health and healthcare professionals in a variety of research contexts.

Her current work includes investigating the impacts of overcrowding on household members' physical and mental health, developing a measure for councils to identify at families at risk of overcrowding, and reviewing the evidence supporting the implementation of low traffic neighbourhoods in the UK.

Elizabeth is a registered associate Nutritionist and member of the Nutrition Society. Her previous published work explores the influence of sustainable diets on micronutrient intake and status, and is principally focused on iodine and thyroid health. Elizabeth is keen to contribute to learning activities in a higher education setting and has experience lecturing in public health and nutrition, supervising MSc students, and leading student practical sessions.
