Our Academy

The NIHR ARC North Thames Academy (the Academy) supports people working in universities, local health and social care sectors and other stakeholders to co-produce applied health research and put outputs into practice. Our goal is to help foster a  sustainable local research community by building research capacity and providing an effective support network. 

We provide training and engagement opportunities for our partner members and those working in applied health and care research. These training opportunities range from CPD workshops to funded PhD studentships. We also host seminars throughout the year to promote discussion on key topics.

Through the ARC, PhD students have access to diverse opportunities and unparalleled expertise in applied health and care research.
