EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

Esther has considerable experience developing and evaluating psychosocial interventions and working in public health. During her PhD at the UCL Department of Clinical, Educational and Health Psychology, she developed and trialled a virtual version of Individual Cognitive Stimulation Therapy in the UK and culturally adapted and evaluated it for Hong Kongers with dementia. She worked in public health before her PhD and is currently investigating the modifiable risk factors for dementia prevention, focusing on minority ethnic groups and policy.

She is interested in improving dementia prevention, intervention, care, and telehealth, particularly those from socially disadvantaged and minority ethnic backgrounds.

Esther joins ARC North Thames as part of the Dem Comm programme, coordinated by ARC Wessex. Esther's project will focus on risk factors for dementia prevention.
