EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

Mel’s background is anthropology and health policy, and her research interests include health inequalities, health policy and long-term conditions, using primarily qualitative methods. Mel’s current projects include: an NIHR-funded mixed-methods study of ethnic inequalities in digital health interventions for cardiometabolic disease; and understanding usual care in Long Covid. Before joining the UCL Institute of Health Informatics, Mel worked in national health policy, covering medicine safety and social care.
