EXPERTISE AND INTERESTS

Sarah’s clinical background is in Speech and Language Therapy, specialising in adult neurological communication disorders. She was Senior Lecturer in BSC SLT at Plymouth Marjon University for 14 years. Now a dementia researcher, her interests are in post-diagnostic care and support for people living with dementia and their informal carers, in particular the communication aspects of personalised dementia care planning. Sarah has expertise in qualitative research methods, including conversation analysis.

Sarah joins ARC North Thames as part of the Dem Comm programme, coordinated by ARC Wessex. Sarah's project will focus on personalised care for people living with dementia.
