Petronella has a diverse background in nursing and health promotion, along with experience in the international development field.

Petronella's research interests are in health services research, focusing on improving access, efficiency, and quality of health services. Through practicing as a nurse, Petronella has also developed a keen interest in healthy aging, and her PhD project is an opportunity to combine and build on these research interests
