Springboard Funding Awards

*The third and final round of applications is now closed*

Springboard funding awards are small grants to help you disseminate the findings of completed research, move research to the next stage or develop a new research idea in the field of mental health research, but not including dementia, as this is funded under a different NIHR programme. Springboard funding is available to two streams:

STREAM A: Emerging Researchers

This stream supports those seeking to launch an independent mental health research project.  This stream includes doctoral candidates and community partners with limited / proximal experience of research. You are eligible if you have not previously held a competitive research grant as a first named investigator.

*Please note we are offering peer review of draft applications for Emerging Researchers in this round. Draft applications must be submitted to mh-all@ucl.ac.uk by 14 July, and reviews will be returned to applicants by 28 July ahead of 7 August submission deadline*

STREAM B: Recognised-Established Researchers

This stream is for those who have developed a level of independence in research. You are eligible if you have publications and/or have previously held a research grant as a first named investigator.
