ECR Summer Researcher Showcase 2022

06 Jul 2022

We are excited to announce the end-of-term NIHR ARC North Thames Early Career Researcher (ECR) Summer Researcher Showcase!

When:
Friday 8th July, 10-11am (Showcase) and 1pm - 4pm (Social)

The online event will showcase up to 10 projects being conducted by Early Career Researchers from across the ARC North Thames (ARC NT) network.

The theme for this year’s showcase is Patient and Community Involvement and Engagement, demonstrating the impact and value of patient and public partnerships for research.

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) defines research involvement as ‘research being carried out ‘with’ or ‘by’ members of the public, rather than ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them, and research engagement as the 2-way interaction between researchers and the community for the mutually beneficial transfer of knowledge, technologies, methods or resources.

The presentations will take place live over Zoom in a 3-minute thesis’ style format, and will be live-streamed for all to attend. This will be followed by an in-person social event at the University College London (UCL) Bloomsbury campus.

The showcase represents a fantastic opportunity for students to engage with a wide range of audiences and for our academic, community and health and care partners to see the breadth of collaborative applied health research and engagement at ARC NT.

If you're an Early Career Researcher involved in health or social care research and your project is either directly funded by ARC NT or you belong to an ARC NT partner organisation, we encourage you to apply to present. The submission deadline for presenters has been extended to 12 June.
