The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) North Thames is recruiting for part-time Knowledge Mobilisation Fellows in applied health, public health, and social care research for a 3-year capacity building initiative.
The goal is to maximise the impact of research through what is known as 'Knowledge Mobilisation'. Knowledge mobilisation is about sharing research evidence and information widely and with people and communities who are able to use it, and helps us create new knowledge and positive change.
Academic institutions will host service staff, and services will host academic researchers to help bridge between research and practice.
Role profiles for fellows
Through the Knowledge Mobilisation application process, there were four priority areas responding to population and system needs. These have shaped the four available fellowships:
- Mental health and dementia fellow (hosted by UCL) [Click for role details]
- Starting-living-ageing well fellow (hosted by City University) [Click for role details]
- Tackling healthcare inequalities fellow (hosted by the Newham Centre for Health & Care Equity) [Click for role details]
- Prevention in social care (hosted by NHS North East London Integrated Care Board) [Click for role details]
Precise topics will depend on the professional background/expertise of postholders, their embedded settings and PPIE perspectives (who will be equal partners in all Knowledge Mobilisation activities, including recruitment).
Please read the eligibility criteria carefully.
