Summary

The Healthy Places, Healthy Planet Programme is being developed as part of the NIHR School for Public Health Research (NIHR SPHR). The programme will provide a platform for collaborative research into place based health, and research into environmental sustainability and health to inform local and national decision making in England and elsewhere.

This is a collaboration between research centres of excellence across England and co-produces research with stakeholders from policy, practice and public. It aims to generate robust evidence to support policy, practice and community activities to improve population health, health equity, and environmental sustainability.
