Working-age adults with multiple long-term conditions: navigating systems of care

PROJECT STATUS: Ongoing
/
START DATE AND DURATION: January 2021
Summary

This research builds on the interests of the NIHR-funded project APOLLO-MM with a shift of focus to the lived experience of working-age adults who are affected by multiple co-existing physical and mental health conditions.

The study is located in East London and involves following a cohort of research participants over time and gathering ethnographic data, exploring their experience of home, workplace, healthcare, social care and welfare systems, and their intersections. A range of qualitative methods including observation, interviews and visual methods will be used to build a rich picture of patients’ experiences to inform improvements in the care of patients with complex needs.
