What are the costs and consequences of implementing NICE adult social care guidelines from a local systems perspective?

PROJECT STATUS: Ongoing
/
START DATE AND DURATION: Feb 2022
Summary

The Valuing Care Guidance study examines the potential costs and consequences of implementing adult social care guidance by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

We will work with care providers and commissioners in three to five localities in England and Wales, who adopted guidance, to better understand how they adopted guidance. This includes the processes, the resources that went into these processes, and the expected impacts on people with social care needs and carers. We will work closely with local and national stakeholders to draw recommendations for putting NICE social care guidelines into practice, and for future research.
