Evaluating the costs and benefits of implementing the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) adult social care guidelines: A scoping study

PROJECT STATUS: Ongoing
/
START DATE AND DURATION: May 2021
Summary

This is a scoping study to prepare for a large evaluation of the economic impact of adult social care guidelines developed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).

This scoping study seeks to find out about how guidelines are being used in practice, and to develop a detailed plan for the evaluation, including a Theory of Change. We will review relevant literature and map out recommendations made in the guidelines. We will discuss our plans for the evaluation with various individuals involved in developing, using and evaluating guidelines, as well as with social care users and their carers.
